Who are ePropertys?

How does ePropertys differ from a high-street agent?  

We are not much different! We provide some of the same services as your local high-street agent but our online offering reduces our overheads and we feel it’s right to pass these savings onto you. How do ePropertys work?

Are you regulated? 

Yes, helping you become compliant during your property journey is our priority and ePropertys are no different. We are proud members of The Property Redress Scheme (Membership number: PR025988) who are authorised by the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG) and National Trading Standards Estate and Letting Agent Team (NTSELAT) 

Are deposits held securely? 

Yes, compliance is on top of our agenda. ePropertys are members of UKALA (Membership number: 020008) and are authorised to hold client money in our dedicated client account. We will secure all deposits, regardless of the type of service you decide on, in our insured scheme (Membership number: 1860736) with the Deposit Protection Service (DPS)  

Is my information secure? 

Yes, we take security seriously. Data is encrypted using strong encryption protocols and information will only be shared with trusted partners for business continuity or with your explicit permission. To enhance confidence, we are also proud members of the Information Commission Office (ICO) who are an independent authority set up to uphold information rights in the public interest, promoting openness by public bodies and data privacy for individuals.  

Do you store any bank details? 

No, we do not store any financial information on our site. We have partnered with GoCardless, one of the UK’s biggest providers of direct debit services who are authorised by the UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). 

How much are landlords charged?

How long will my property be advertised? 

Your property will be advertised until it is let, but we do ask that landlords delist as soon as this is done to avoid further charges.  

How far in advance should I advertise my property? 

Each property has its own turnaround time for various reasons such as rental price and location. In general, we recommend advertising your property at least 4 weeks before your tenancy agreement expiry or either party triggering the termination of the contract 

Will my property be seen by an appropriate number of prospective tenants? 

Not only is your property advertised on ePropertys’ bespoke website, but we have also partnered with Rightmove and Zoopla who have combined average monthly visitors of 170 million giving us the confidence that your property will reach a large audience. 

Will tenant references be completed? 

Yes, this is completed for your protection and ours. We ensure that a comprehensive reference check is completed to the highest standard which includes, but is not limited to tenant affordability, a credit check, employer’s reference, multi-level employment verification and previous landlord/agent references. This process can take up to 72 hours to complete. 

How much will a reference cost me? 

Our site is built around you and passing on our savings, therefore you will pay nothing for the comprehensive reference check. That’s right, nothing! We believe this is a fundamental part of bringing in a tenant with who you can trust your property and who you can build a lasting relationship with, therefore, and for the third time, we will not charge any extra for this service! 

How can I trust sub-contractors on your site? 

We will only be accepting those contractors onto the site who are members of a professional body and who have the required insurance to complete the work. You are not obligated to use contractors from our site if however, you have an existing relationship with someone you already trust! 

How much are tenants charged? 

Nothing! No registering fees, no contract signing fees, no other hidden charges.
